About Skip Weber

Skip Weber, a retired Lieutenant of the Bergen County Proscessors office in NJ, began painting when he retired. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. Next year, he and his wife Barbara will be married for 60 years. They lived in Paramus, NJ but now live full-time in Fort Myers, FL.

At an early age, Skip began sketching, but started watercolor painting after retirement. He became motivated by his late friend, artist Jack Smith of Cape Coral.  He has been mostly self taught but has taken classes and workshops at the Cape Coral Art Studio, Cape Coral Art League, and Pine Island Art Association.  A recent instructor was Bob Fagan.

An award winning artist, Skip feels that his art is a never ending learning process. He is known for his use of vivid colors in his paintings of a wide variety of subject matter.  He started painting in the realism style with watercolor, but lately has expanded to impressionistic and abstract styles with the use of acrylics. He has grown to love painting and even has built a studio in his home. When Skip is not painting, he is golfing, or spending time with his family.
